The Remodel of Beaverton Buick GMC Service Center: Western Construction Blog

One of the biggest challenges in remodeling a storefront is to successfully renovate the business without interrupting standard operations. Western Construction was presented with this uniquely challenging opportunity when we were contracted to remodel the Beaverton Buick GMC dealership. This blog talks about how Beaverton Buick GMC got a brand-new service center – literally overnight.

The Buick GMC location on Canyon Road was ready for an update. The service center, offices, and hallways had been in use for many years and were worn and dated. The doors, flooring, tile, kitchen, and utility closets all had to go, and the client wanted a more modern and approachable service center for their customers.

The dealership wanted to continue full operations during the entirety of the remodel. Western Construction created a special plan for Beaverton Buick GMC and performed all demolition in the evenings beginning immediately after the dealership closed.

Western Construction worked through the night doing tear out and demo and had the dealership cleaned up, equipment out of the way, and fully functional every morning allowing Lithia to continue business as usual. As the project allowed, Western would work during the day while still ensuring Lithia’s ability to operate successfully. In the next video you will hear from Eric Trueblood, the then Service Director for Beaverton Buick GMC and learn a little bit about Lithia’s decision to update their service center.

Lithia wanted to have an optimal customer service experience, take on local competitors, and change the floorplan to suit their important clientele better – and that’s when they made the decision to work with Western Construction Services.

According to Eric, a major benefit of working with Western was the ease of communication – With daily and weekly meetings with Superintendents and Project Managers, our clients are kept updated and in the loop about the process and overall workflow of the project. Not to mention project manager David Szyplinski’s unspoken commitment to bringing Crumbl Cookies every Wednesday for the Lithia team.

Western completed the entire renovation project ahead of schedule, on budget, and to the complete satisfaction of Beaverton Buick GMC. When you need a company that can handle the unique challenges of your project and bring your dreams to life – look no further than Western Construction Services.
